A pleasure to meet you all. My name is Savriti, and I am a young adult artist. My talents lie in both digital and traditional art, while I have a passion for photography, sewing, and crafts. Ideas come and go, and the whimsical nature of them leads more to drabble than a continuous story for when I choose to write. I am practicing on keeping focused, however.

I am considering attending community college in the 2014 school year for art and design foundations. I hope to keep you all updated if I do go, with a daily recap on my lessons and the progress I make as an artist.

A pleasure doing business with you.
So, this is, as some may soon find out, a new account for me (Also a new FB) Since my last entry, I've been doodling and working (While still keeping my job at Winners) and refining my skills. Trying to find a blend between what I've done before and what I'm doing now, while paying attention to things like perspective, facial structures, colours and the like. I'm about 48% done my next piece, which I hope blows the last two I've done out of the water. I mean, so far, it looks as if it will. I'll be updating far more regularly in the future, if even just the journal.

So, I did get the job at Winners. Due to the holiday season, I've been working my butt off and getting rather nice paychecks as a result. Happy? Yes. Even happier was going to Canada Computers and seeing a new (to me) brand of tablet, the Genius G-Pen M712X. After a recommendation by an employee, and a price that couldn't be beat ($135 -ish total), I decided to splurge on it. Oh. My. God. I love it already.

Computer Woes

0 min read
So, my computer is back up and running, after being broken twice and being out of commission for a year. Unfortunately, Vista seems to strongly dislike my tablet, an old Adesso CyberTablet 8600. Which means updates will be slow, if at all.  Previously, I had been working on a computer that ran on XP, which worked much better with my hardware. I've been looking at the Bamboo Fun, since it comes with software and is about the same size working area. $250 dollars or so, and while I had been looking at the Intuos4 (Medium), I think that I wouldn't really use the express keys too much. Besides, it's about twice as much. On a related note: I had
